Skydiving

November 8, 2009 at 3:13 am (Uncategorized)

AB will celebrate his 30th Birthday at the end of this month. He and a friend of ours, Markus, decided to skydive today. They spent all day in a class so they could jump by themselves and then the kids and I drove up to watch this afternoon. They had to wait most of the day for the wind to die down and we didn’t know if they were going to get to jump. Around 5ish, they called his name and AB got suited up to go. He did a great job and it was amazing see him be able to do that. I don’t think I would have the guts to do it!! Happy Birthday, my love!

Pumpkin Carving

October 31, 2009 at 12:59 am (Uncategorized)

Tonight we carved pumpkins, roasted pumpkin seeds and made cookies. Alexis is being spoiled by her brothers. They are carrying her around everywhere and reading books to her. Spencer informed me that his teacher told him to brush his teeth after we went trick or treating tomorrow night. A very wise woman….

Pumpkin Patch

October 17, 2009 at 9:03 pm (Uncategorized)

Today I asked on FB if anyone had good suggestions for a good pumpkin patch. We went to the one in Celina and it was awesome. It had hayrides, animals to feed, sunflowers and pumpkins. Unfortunately, while Alexis was feeding one the longhorns, it sucked her hand in with its tongue. She had cow slobber up to her elbow and we were all screaming, worried that she might be missing some fingers after we got it out. She was fine, but her hand was a little scratched up. We have been laughing the rest of the day. It was a great family experience!

Football Pics

October 17, 2009 at 8:46 pm (Uncategorized)

Landon’s game was canceled today, so we decided to take pictures this morning of the boys in their uniforms and Alexis as her brother’s cheerleader. There is one that I won’t post that I think will wind up being our Christmas card….

Spencer’s 7th Birthday Party

October 13, 2009 at 11:52 pm (Uncategorized)

Spencer had his 7th birthday party a few weeks ago. He had a SpongeBob party and enjoyed the company of friends and families. We served crabby patties, mac and cheese and homemade vanilla ice cream. I can hardly believe he is seven!! He is turning into such a wonderful young man and we are so proud of him. He has a great sense of humor, is a great football player, a wonderful brother and a good friend. (not that we’re partial) He loves to read Junie B. Jones, play video games and scare his mother. Thank you Jesus for Spencer!

Spencer lost his first tooth!

August 28, 2009 at 11:15 pm (Uncategorized)

Today Spencer lost his first tooth. Landon held his hand and AB pulled it. Alexis thought it was gross and didn’t even want to look at it. Now the tooth right next to it is loose as well so he is working on getting it out. He was very excited!

New beginnings…

August 24, 2009 at 2:21 pm (Uncategorized)

Today was Landon’s first day of 5th grade and Spencer started first. AB made performed his annual ritual of making pancakes with their grade number. They were excited to start this morning and their teachers will be great. Landon’s teacher is Mrs. Cerney and Spencer was fortunate to have Mrs. Brule again. Football practice starts for the boys this week as well. This weekend, AB and the kids got me these beautiful flowers to congratulate me on my new job. They are so pretty!!

Fishing and Forts

August 7, 2009 at 12:47 am (Uncategorized)

Carol and I took the kids fishing this morning so AB could take a test for school. It was fun to watch Spencer cast and reel back in over and over and over again. Alexis liked the ducks at the lake, especially the eight baby ducks. Landon eventually walked down the lake a little ways to have some peace and quiet and really wanted to catch a fish, but none were biting. After lunch, AB took them on a hike and helped them build a fort and of course the boys were very excited to show us all their new “home”.
